Haven’t been here in a few years and as soon as I started eating I remembered how delicious they were! Had the classic breakfast but everything was made with precision you can taste it! Also, they have custard like sauce that is delicious with the waffle. Overall a solid 9/10 for sure
The food was absolutely amazing, great atmosphere, music selection was great for dining. We had the, fried green tomatoes as an appetizer, fish mix sampler, and shrimp New Orleans style pasta
This restaurant used to be my go-to spot for breakfast. While I’ve always enjoyed the pancakes and eggs. I’ve noticed that the last couple of times I visited to eat my favorite dish, catfish and grits. It feel short of the quality I remember. It seems as though the fried green tomatoes, and catfish were cooked in oil that may have been reused. Overall, the pancakes and eggs were still satisfactory.
This is a solid 4⭐️ cafe, imo. My favorite here was the bourbon glazed full chicken wing appetizer, served to order and was crispy, hot, juicy and sweet. A near perfect bite for any wing I have ever had. The shrimp and grits was the entree I was most looking forward to and I found it to be very good though a bit thin on the grits, and a bit too “liquidy”. Possibly there was a bit more spicy sauce but I like my grits thick like porridge. Nonetheless, the shrimp and sausage was tasty and the heat of the sauce was on point. Washed it all down with delicious sweet tea. Lastly, I had a slice of their caramel pound cake, which was dense and a bit dry, maybe cause it was the last piece of that cake. I prefer my caramel cake to be light and airy, but this was still good. Definitely will like to try more of their menu as I am a fan of southern cooking. Also, staff was friendly and attentive.
I’m from Virginia and came in town to visit a friend. I was looking for restaurants in the area and ran into this spot… OMG! The food was very flavorful and the service was top notch. My server was Key and she was so sweet and very attentive. This is the first time in a longtime that I have went to a restaurant and didn’t have a complaint. My experience was a 10 out of 10
